By the 1960s, Tonka made a name for themselves from the production of their extensive line-up of construction trucks. These toys often featured popular vehicles, like dump trucks, that had functioning beds. So, many of these toys often hauled dirt around the yard. Even though Tonka fell under, their vehicles still made it to the National Toy Hall of Fame.
