For decades, since Transformers moved on from Generation 1, Hasbro has created reissues of their top-selling toys from the past from the likes of G1 and Beast Wars. These figures have been sold by various retailers under various lines, and are most recently sold by Walmart. Takara has also sold various reissues of Generation 1 figures alongside later Beast Wars figures under the Encore line. The accuracy of these reissues varies, with some being very close to their original releases, while others, such as the ongoing Transformers Retro line featuring decos based upon the characters’ film appearances.
